What to Expect

The PCSL 2-Gun Tactical Challenge is a physically demanding, scenario-driven match that blends fast-paced PCSL scoring with integrated physical activity and real-world-inspired tactical scenarios. Across 8 unique stages, competitors will:

  • Utilize both rifle and pistol platforms

  • Complete physically demanding tasks such as carries and sprints

  • Execute simulated Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) actions

  • Apply basic tactical decision-making skills

Shooters who wish to participate in the night match must enroll for the day match as well.

Night match will have a separate prize from day match.

Shooters and Attendees are allowed to camp on site for free if they wish.

 

Key Match Features

  • 8 technical stages across Panthera’s versatile range bays

  • Physical challenges including:

    • Sprinting

    • Casualty drags

    • Sandbag carries

    • Ammo can carries

    • Water jug carries

  • Tactical medicine integration featuring:

    • Simulated casualty assessment

    • Basic treatment steps (non-invasive)

  • Shooting environments that include:

    • Flat ranges

    • CQB shoot house

    • Vehicle-based scenarios

You’ll Be Tested On

  • Rifle and pistol engagements out to 100 yards

  • Marksmanship under physical and time stress

  • Gear management and movement under load

  • Medical response and decision-making under pressure

Gear Requirements

  • Rifle (5.56/.223 preferred) with mandatory sling

  • Pistol with retention holster

  • Minimum of 3 magazines for each weapon

  • Eye and ear protection

  • Plate carrier or belt rig (recommended but not required)

Important Notes

  • This is a physically active match—be prepared to:

    • Sprint short distances

    • Drag weighted dummies

    • Perform physical tasks under time pressure

  • Participants with physical limitations may request:

    • Alternative physical challenges

    • Assigned time penalties in place of a physical task

  • Medical simulations are scored:

    • Non-invasive

    • Failure to perform tasks correctly will result in time penalties

Media Coverage

  • 1 professional photographer and 1 drone operator will cover the event

  • Optional media packages available post-event (includes reels, portraits, and action photos)
