Class Overview

Keystone Dynamics Solutions (KDS) offers a one-day intensive training course designed to establish and enhance fundamental shooting skills for newer or less experienced shooters. This course provides a structured pathway to build a solid foundation in firearm handling, marksmanship, and overall shooting performance. By focusing on consistency and the principles of marksmanship, participants will leave with the confidence and skills needed to operate effectively in any situation.

Course Description

This course begins with an individual assessment to determine each student’s baseline skills, ensuring personalized feedback and progression. Through detailed instruction and practical exercises, students will master the fundamentals of rifle and pistol handling, including stance, grip, trigger manipulation, target transitions, weapon transitions, and shooting on the move. The training culminates with a final assessment to measure progress and solidify key skills.

  • Isolated Drills: Focused repetition to develop individual skills.

  • Integrated Tasks: Combining learned skills into comprehensive exercises.

  • Consistency Training: Ensuring repetitive practice to build muscle memory and situational awareness.

  • Timed Performance: Individual and group evaluations to measure speed, accuracy, and consistency.

Learning Objectives

  • Master essential rifle and pistol fundamentals.

  • Identify and address areas for improvement through individual assessments.

  • Refine shooting techniques, including shooting on the move.

  • Integrate rifle and pistol handling into cohesive drills.

  • Develop proficiency in handling stoppages and malfunctions.

  • Build confidence and competence through principle-focused training.

Round Allotment

  • Rifle: 400 rounds

  • Pistol: 250 rounds

Gear List

  • Working pistol and rifle (both in good condition).

  • At least 4 magazines each for pistol and rifle.

  • Weapons cleaning gear and lubrication.

  • Sling for rifle.

  • Personal protective equipment: gloves, eye protection, ear protection.

  • Optional kit: Tactical gear for practical drills.

Additional Information

  • Ammunition Restrictions: No steel core, armor-piercing, or tracer rounds allowed.

  • No Full Auto Fire: Only semi-automatic firing is permitted.

  • Student Responsibilities: Bring your own food and water. Limited water will be available onsite.

Refund Policy

  • Full Refund: For cancellations made more than 14 days before the course.

  • Partial Refund: 50% refund for cancellations made 7-14 days before the course.

  • No Refund: For cancellations less than 7 days before the course or no-shows.

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 days. Refund requests must be made in writing via email.

Eligibility Requirements

KDS training is exclusively available to U.S. citizens. We do not provide training to non-citizens, individuals with felony convictions, or those with similar disqualifying statuses. Proof of citizenship is required, and applicants may be subject to background checks.
