SIM/UTM or Airsoft Only
Duration: 2 days
Format: Open enrollment
Training type: SIM/UTM or airsoft only

SIM conversion bolts: Included in the course price
Day 2 SIMS ammunition: 400 rounds per student
Low-light training: Included
Skill level: Beginner to intermediate
Prerequisite: Safe weapons handling and prior basic firearms training recommended
Course Intent
CQB Level 1 is a two-day course designed to build a foundation in close-quarters movement, communication, decision-making, and safe weapons handling.
Students will work individually and in teams through structured instruction, practical drills, and controlled force-on-force scenarios using SIM/UTM or airsoft. Training progresses from fundamentals to scenario-based application, with instructor feedback throughout.
The course covers individual and team movement, communication, sector responsibility, target identification, and room and hallway problem-solving. Low-light training gives students an opportunity to practice decision-making and communication in reduced visibility.
Course Format
This is a SIM/UTM or airsoft-only course. There will be no live-fire training.
SIM conversion bolts are included in the course price. Students will need 400 rounds of SIMS ammunition per person for the Day 2 force-on-force training. Training weapons and equipment must be inspected and approved by instructors before use.
Safety Protocol
Students will receive a safety brief before training begins. Instructors will inspect weapons, equipment, lights, and training areas before exercises.
No live ammunition or live weapons are permitted in the designated force-on-force training area. Students must follow instructor direction, maintain safe weapons handling and muzzle awareness, and meet course safety standards. Instructors may restrict or end a student’s participation for unsafe handling or conduct inconsistent with course policies.
